Journal Cover Kit
Are you as obsessed as we are with the 'traveler's notebook' style of notebook or journal covers popular on social media right now? yes? good.
I've long-admired the clever elastic bands that hold YOUR CHOICE of slim notebooks, agendas, or portfolio in place within a wrap-around cover. The flexibility appeals to me. But leather isn't my thing... I like FABRIC and embellishing with stitching or up-cycled materials.
Here is a method of making your own fabric cover using a flexible plastic, precision cut insert. The insert provides rigidity for the Cover with flexibility where it's needed. The insert and the necessary elastic cords are included in this kit, along with detailed instructions for constructing and personalizing your own cover.
Sized to fit several A5 notebooks of your choosing. (approx. 5.5" x 8.25", or similar "half-sheet" size)
Elastic cord is used for the binding (2, inside) and closure (1, outside). CHOOSE your color: Red, Black, White, Blue, Light Blue, Green, Pink, Purple, Grey, Orange, Bright Pink, Greenish-Yellow. Additional cords sold here.
Product Materials
Our products are made from furniture-grade Birch plywood by a team of women woodworkers in Virginia, USA. They are 3/4” thick. Most accessories are finished with a natural Hardwax Oil finish.
